Tom Lane 84c123be1d Allow new values to be added to an existing enum type. 
After much expenditure of effort, we've got this to the point where the
performance penalty is pretty minimal in typical cases.

Tom Lane 57690c6803 Support enum data types. Along the way, use macros for the values of 
pg_type.typtype whereever practical.  Tom Dunstan, with some kibitzing
from Tom Lane.
