Alvaro Herrera 73206812cd Change SQLSTATE for event triggers "wrong context" message 
When certain event-trigger-only functions are called when not in the
wrong context, they were reporting the "feature not supported" SQLSTATE,
which is somewhat misleading.  Create a new custom error code for such
uses instead.

Not backpatched since it may be seen as an undesirable behavioral
change.

Tom Lane a4847fc3ef Add an ASSERT statement in plpgsql. 
This is meant to make it easier to insert simple debugging cross-checks
in plpgsql functions.

Tom Lane 26fe56481c Code review for 64-bit-large-object patch. 
Fix broken-on-bigendian-machines byte-swapping functions, add missed update
of alternate regression expected file, improve error reporting, remove some
unnecessary code, sync testlo64.c with current testlo.c (it seems to have
been cloned from a very old copy of that), assorted cosmetic improvements.

Tatsuo Ishii 461ef73f09 Add API for 64-bit large object access. Now users can access up to 
4TB large objects (standard 8KB BLCKSZ case).  For this purpose new
libpq API lo_lseek64, lo_tell64 and lo_truncate64 are added.  Also
corresponding new backend functions lo_lseek64, lo_tell64 and
lo_truncate64 are added. inv_api.c is changed to handle 64-bit
offsets.

Patch contributed by Nozomi Anzai (backend side) and Yugo Nagata
(frontend side, docs, regression tests and example program). Reviewed
by Kohei Kaigai. Committed by Tatsuo Ishii with minor editings.

Tom Lane 3d4890c0c5 Add GET STACKED DIAGNOSTICS plpgsql command to retrieve exception info. 
This is more SQL-spec-compliant, more easily extensible, and better
performing than the old method of inventing special variables.

Tom Lane 23e5b16c71 Add temp_file_limit GUC parameter to constrain temporary file space usage. 
The limit is enforced against the total amount of temp file space used by
each session.

Peter Eisentraut 414c5a2ea6 Per-column collation support 
This adds collation support for columns and domains, a COLLATE clause
to override it per expression, and B-tree index support.

Robert Haas ddfe26f644 Avoid maintaining three separate copies of the error codes list. 
src/pl/plpgsql/src/plerrcodes.h, src/include/utils/errcodes.h, and a
big chunk of errcodes.sgml are now automatically generated from a single
file, src/backend/utils/errcodes.txt.
