Alvaro Herrera 51c3e9fade Include <sys/select.h> where needed <sys/select.h> is required by POSIX.1-2001 to get the prototype of select(2), but nearly no systems enforce that because older standards let you get away with including some other headers. Recent OpenBSD hacking has removed that frail touch of friendliness, however, which broke some compiles; fix all the way back to 9.1 by adding the required standard. Only vacuumdb.c was reported to fail, but it seems easier to fix the whole lot in a fell swoop. Per bug #14334 by Sean Farrell.		2016-09-27 01:05:21 -03:00

PostgreSQL tests
================

This directory contains a variety of test infrastructure as well as some of the
tests in PostgreSQL. Not all tests are here -- in particular, there are more in
individual contrib/ modules and in src/bin.

Not all these tests get run by "make check". Check src/test/Makefile to see
which tests get run automatically.

examples/
  Demonstration programs for libpq that double as regression tests via
  "make check"

isolation/
  Tests for concurrent behavior at the SQL level

locale/
  Sanity checks for locale data, encodings, etc

mb/
  Tests for multibyte encoding (UTF-8) support

modules/
  Extensions used only or mainly for test purposes, generally not suitable
  for installing in production databases
